He's just yapping.

Key point: NOTHING DUE AT SIGNING. This is exactly how lease deals should work. You pay x amount every month for y number of months, you have the car and use it for that time. Period. No other fancy fees, no extra hidden shit, nothing on top.

I financed my 2023 RWD Model 3 in November 2022 for $44k. I had great trade-in value on my Civic, so it knocked that loan down quite substantially to $24k. That being said, I really wanted the LR, but it was unavailable to purchase at the time, hence why I went with the RWD. Now that the refresh is out, I was tempted to trade-in my current car towards it, but the value in which my car has dropped has been jaw dropping. My Model 3 is only 19mo old, has only 22,000mi on it, and Tesla is only offering me $20,900 for it. In less than 2 years it's lost over 50% of it's value, which needless to say makes leasing a very attractive option more than it's ever been before. Because at this rate I'll be lucky if Tesla still values my car at $15,000 once it's officially three years old.

I sell hummers, for the audience no dealer will give 10k oFF, if you get msrp you are lucky. In 10:15 Miami they sell above msrp all time long. Because there is no inventory 👌🏻

Ravi, you and have the exact same thinking process on buy vs lease. Unfortunately, when I am ready to lease, model Y just increased the monthly payment by $50 to $479 (w/o options). Hope they drop to $429 again soon

Ok, not having the residual value spelled out, until you do the deal, is a problem, starting to see this more now on leases, it's a HUMMER EV 2x (basically without the extreme off-road package), and most HUMMERs on the lots are 3xs or have the extreme off-road package

Leasing any vehicle is straight up robbery you never keep the car you lease in other words it’s a rental that you make payments on and then you have pay for excess miles over the span of 3 years by then that car you leased value has depreciated heavily and you lost out on ever owning that vehicle you lease it’s better to buy than lease
